WCC Chubby Buddy dropped jaws coming in off 7,000+ acres of open west Utah desert range as an 1,100+ lb yearling. He was hastily feed-bunker broke, "show cut" de-horned, and halter broke just in time to win Senior Champion Bull at the 2014 Houston Livestock Show — with the largest ribeye and lowest backfat of the entire show. A few weeks later he became the sale-record highest-selling bull of all time at the 2014 Texas Wagyu sale.
He's a freakishly big-framed, high-libido bull: he successfully bred a registered Angus cow at under 7 months of age, before being separated for weaning. He has matured into a tall, long, extreme-frame Akaushi — we have not seen another Akaushi bull with a frame as big as his anywhere in the AWA, easily exceeding 2,000 lbs at turnout.
